• I had this book as a child and couldn't remember the title, only bits and pieces of the story. Ahh the wonder of the internet! After plugging in a few key phrases and quotes I remembered, I was directed to the listing. Now it nestles nicely in the nostalgia section of my bookshelf. Good book that inspires the imagination!
• I love these series. But most important that my son does. I got 40+ books and he loves to read them (usually it is not that easy to make him read). I got mix of 2-3-4 levels for the second grader, second level is too easy, but it creates some fun and he reads them with pleasure. Love it, I would recommend it.

• I bought this book because I remember loving it when I was a kid. I do like the drawings a lot, but I guess I must have been really little when I first read it. This writing is very simple and kind of annoying. It's probably good if your child is just learning how to read.
